Saarvi Deshwal
Executive Editor
Saarvi Deshwal is a senior and one of the Executive Editors for ANDOVERVIEW. When she’s not asleep, she enjoys spending time with friends, watching TV, or getting lost in Boston. She’s also passionate about business, global cultures, and occasionally bingeing random documentaries to feel productive. In the future, Saarvi hopes to travel the world, collect way too many passport stamps, and waste an awful lot of money on food.


Tomas Kruecker-Green

Tommy Kruecker-Green is a senior and an Executive Editor for ANDOVERVIEW. He enjoys playing violin in the New England Conservatory orchestra (as long as there is no sightreading), beating his dad at ping pong, hiking through seven-foot-tall ferns, photographing stalwart trees, watching The Great British Baking Show with his two adorable, cuddly cats, and sampling artisan cheeses in Montreal.

Isabella Yan is a senior and an Executive Editor for the ANDOVERVIEW. In her free time, she loves to draw, walk her cat outdoors, listen to music, and binge-watch forensic documentaries. Her favorite color is green and her favorite foods include noodles and tiramisu. She is interested in mental health and psychology, and in the future, she wants to travel to and photograph many places around the world.


Anushka Dole

Anushka Dole is a senior and an online editor for the ANDOVERVIEW. Besides writing, she loves to practice her instruments, write non-working code, and play hide-and-seek with her baby sister in her free time. Alongside being a ride-or-die supporter of pineapple on pizza, she has added french fries and ice cream-on the same plate-as her loved (semi)controversial food combo of the year.
Samantha Sun
Copy Editor
Samantha Sun is a senior and the Copy Editor for ANDOVERVIEW. She enjoys shopping, endlessly scrolling on Pinterest, and cooking delicious pasta recipes. Besides writing, she plays the violin and buys cute stuffed animals in her free time. The small things she appreciates are extra chocolatey muffins, cozy blankets, and the sound of rain. She aspires to write a book one day and to travel around the world.


Clara Strong
Copy Editor
Clara is a sophomore and a copy editor for ANDOVERVIEW. She plays clarinet in the marching band and is part of many other AHS activities such as French club and crochet club. She is rather obsessed with her cat. Her dream job is working in a cat café, but she also wants to be a linguist.

Christina is a sophomore and one of the online editors for ANDOVERVIEW! She enjoys reading, crocheting, and playing piano in her free time. She loves her fluffy cat very much, and if she’s not gushing about Luna then she’s probably complaining about the unrealistic amount of work she’s set up for herself. She loves exploring new interests such as code but is a true bed-rotter at heart.

Avery Slaughter is a sophomore and one of ANDOVERVIEW’s online editors. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and promising herself she’ll do her homework later. She spends a significant amount of her time struggling over code at robotics after school. She hopes to go on to be a doctor in emergency medicine.

Anya is a junior and a 3rd year member of ANDOVERVIEW and a Paper & Pen™. She loves reading the news and is excited for the chance to share her thoughts as opinion editor. When not staying up late with never-ending homework, Anya enjoys baking, running, ad traveling. Her favorite places she’s traveled to are France and Uzbekistan, and her favorite thing to bake is snickerdoodle cookies.

Ella Hu is a junior, and this will be her 3rd year in Newspaper class. She is the Sports Editor for ANDOVERVIEW and a Paper & Pen™. Some of Ella’s hobbies include reading, baking, running, and sleeping. Ella has been to 22 US States and hopes to travel to all the states.

Kaveri Dole is currently a junior at Andover High School and a social media manager as well as a staff writer at Andoverview. She enjoys playing the piano, swimming, teaching, and spending time with her friends and family. She loves traveling, and her favorite place to go to is her dad’s village in southern India. Kaveri also loves STEM and wants to pursue a career in environmental engineering.

Areeta is a junior and one of the social media editors for ANDOVERVIEW. She’s an artist, writer, and pianist who loves all things music, as well as an avid procrastinator and media connoisseur. Most of all, she loves drawing, baking, and spending time with her loved ones, particularly her two cats.

Newspaper Club President
Abby Chachus is a Junior. She is the president of Andover High’s newspaper club. She participates in show choir and is a spirit leader for the AHS treble show choir, nothing but treble (NBT) . She also participates in theater in and out of school. She has been in many musicals including 1776, Jekyll and Hyde, Urinetown, and Wizard of Oz as well as a couple of plays. She hopes to go into journalism in the future.

Janaesa Macasaet is a junior and the Arts Editor for ANDOVERVIEW. In her free time, she loves to listen to true crime podcasts, watch rom-coms, and draw. She looks forward to traveling the world in the future.

Arshiaa Prem is a sophomore and a staff writer for ANDOVERVIEW. Her absolute favorite thing to do is watch the sunset at the beach, and her favorite musical artists include Her’s, Wallows, The Goo Goo Dolls, Dominic Fike, BTS, and ABBA. In her free time, she enjoys reading, binge-watching shows with her family, swimming, eating good food, laughing with her friends, and traveling. She has been to fifteen countries and has two passports. Her favorite color is blue, and her favorite foods include pad thai and soft serve ice cream.

Advika is a freshman and staff writer for ANDOVERVIEW. When she’s not writing, Advika enjoys playing tennis, hanging out with friends, reading, drawing, or singing. In addition to hobbies, Advika really enjoys music and has been in show choir for 3 year and concert choir for 6 years.

Though it’s his final year at AHS, it’s Samin’s first year working as a staff writer for ANDOVERVIEW. At home, he could spend hours examining the new Street View locations Google Maps had just released, worsening his strange obsession with geography. Although he can’t even speak English properly some days, Samin is deeply interested in foreign languages. Samin also enjoys playing cricket and the violin in his free time. He has an unrequited love for cats, as well.

Duru Tanriverdi is a freshman and a staff writer for ANDOVERVIEW. When she is not doing endless homework or when she is not scrolling mindlessly on social media, she loves to crochet, draw, read, and watch TV shows or movies she picks depending on the season. Her favorite colors are ivory and light green. Her favorite dessert ever is tiramisu and she is a true fan of iced coffee. In the future, she hopes to be a lawyer and travel around the world.

Kendall is a freshman and staff writer for ANDOVERVIEW. In her free time she likes to get lost in books, play with her dog Pippin (yes, a Lord of the Rings reference), listen to music at full blast, write stories, and ride her bike. She does mock trials and her favorite class is history. She loves Italian food. In the future Kendall hopes to travel to Europe and become a lawyer.

Mason is a sophomore at AHS, who’s really passionate about art. Mason has been drawing since he can remember, just using crayons on restaurant menus. Recently, over the summer he really focused on working on a creative project; which is a comic. This creative endeavor has opened up new outlets and mediums for his creativity. He wishes the same with this newspaper class.


Scott Aubrey
Faculty Advisor
Once a reporter and editor himself, Scott Aubrey is well into his second decade of teaching and advising student publications. He got his start in journalism in Kansas, where he interviewed—among others—the former commander of U.S. forces in Vietnam, a convicted bomber (while sitting in the man’s tepee!), and lots of farmers. Oh so many farmers.
