Anya Gorovits
Editor in Chief
Anya Gorovits is a senior and the editor in chief of ANDOVERVIEW. She loves going on long runs, learning to play the guitar, and getting her favorite food—ice cream—with her friends. Anya has been to 17 countries and hopes to travel the world even more before becoming a lawyer.
Avery Slaughter
Managing Editor
Avery is a junior and ANDOVERVIEW’s managing editor. In her spare time, she enjoys sleeping and reading; in reality, she spends most of her time studying for AP Chemistry or one of her various other classes. She enjoys writing opinion pieces (even when she is supposed to be writing features or news stories).
Christina Saad
Arts Editor
Christina Saad is a junior and the arts editor for ANDOVERVIEW. She loves music and is engaged in several ensembles at the school as a percussionist and pianist. During her free time, she likes to crochet, read, and play video games. She also has a lovely cat named Luna that she likes to talk endlessly about.

Arshiaa Prem is a junior and the sports editor for ANDOVERVIEW. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, binge-watching shows in foreign languages, swimming, laughing with her friends, and of course, eating good food. She has been to sixteen countries and looks forward to travelling the world in the future.

Areeta is a senior and the Opinion Section editor for ANDOVERVIEW. She’s an artist, writer, and pianist who loves all things music, as well as an avid procrastinator and media connoisseur. Most of all, she loves drawing, baking, and spending time with her loved ones, particularly her two cats.

Layout Editor
Ella Hu is a senior and Layout Editor for ANDOVERVIEW. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking for her family, and spending time with friends. Ella has been to 22 states and hopes to visit all 50 in the future alongside her goal of running a marathon.
Clara Strong
Copy Editor
Clara is a junior and the copy editor for the newspaper. She plays clarinet in marching band, and when she isn’t doing homework or various other afterschool activities, she enjoys reading and playing board games. She wants to open a cat café when she’s older.
Kendall Murphy
Online Editor
Kendall is a sophomore and online editor for ANDOVERVIEW. In her free time she likes to get lost in books, play with her dog Pippin (Yes, a Lord of the Rings reference) and seek out the best Italian food she can find. In her belief, life is at its best when she is listening to music on full blast or going down strange research rabbit holes. In the future she hopes to travel the world, learning many new things along the way.

Duru is a sophomore and an Associate Online Editor for ANDOVERVIEW. When she is not drowning in endless homework, she likes to spend time crocheting, reading books, playing tennis, re-watching the same movies, and going down endless research rabbit holes about space phenomenons. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in astronomy.
Abby Chachus
Newspaper Club President
Abby Chachus is a Senior. She is the president of Andover High’s newspaper club and is a staff writer for the paper. She participates in show choir and is a co- president for the AHS treble show choir, nothing but treble (NBT) . She also participates in theater in and out of school. She has been in many musicals including 1776, wizard of oz, Jekyll and Hyde, Urinetown and Peter Pan. She also assistant directed last year’s production of Small Mouth Sounds at AHS. She can’t wait for what ANDOVERVIEW will bring this year!

Andrew is a junior and a staff writer for ANDOVERVIEW. When he’s not in school, he’s out in nature, exploring the woods and taking way too many pictures. Beyond photography and outdoor exploration, he’s passionate about filmmaking, journalism/broadcasting, and graphic design. In the future, he wants to travel to and photograph many places around the world.

Leo is a sophomore and a staff writer ANDOVERVIEW. He loves skiing, taking photos with his film cameras, and fixing anything he comes across. In the future, he plans to be study to become an engineer, and possibly take a gap year to learn how to become a plumber.

Maddie Carlson

Maddie Carlson is a freshman and a staff writer for ANDOVERVIEW. She performs with one of the Andover show choirs, Nothin’ but Treble, Chromatics, the a cappella group, chamber choir, and the theater guild. In her free time, she enjoys arguing with her sister, playing with the dogs her family is boarding, and trying to fix her deeply chronic case of sleep deprivation. In the future she wishes to become a civil rights attorney in New York City.

Dylan is a freshman and staff writer for ANDOVERVIEW. If he is lucky enough to get his homework finished on time, he will be reading or going for a run with his cross country team. On the weekends, he enjoys watching TV or listening to music while he bakes the one recipe he knows: a simple and delicious pull-apart garlic bread. The future seems pretty far off to him; so for now he’s content to keep doing what he loves with the time he has.

Neha Kalagarla is a freshman and a staff writer for ANDOVERVIEW. Outside of school, Neha enjoys dance, reading, and playing the piano. She especially loves reading horror and mystery. Additionally, in the future, she hopes to become a doctor and visit many other countries in Europe and Asia.

Maaz is a freshman and staff writer for ANDOVERVIEW. His family emigreated from Pakistan and he is a first-generation born in America. Off of the keyboard he loves debate, mock trial, tennis, watching football (both of them) and video games. Maaz has a passion for history and one day hopes to enter a career of medicine.

Mason is a junior at AHS and staff writer for ANDOVERVIEW, who’s really passionate about art. Mason has been drawing since he can remember, just using crayons on restaurant menus. Recently, over the summer he really focused on working on a creative project; which is a comic. This creative endeavor has opened up new outlets and mediums for his creativity. He wishes the same with this newspaper class.

Zaynah is a 9th-grade staff writer of ANDOVERVIEW. Zaynah really likes to travel and hang out with her friends. Her favorite color is purple and her favorite food is sushi. In the future Zaynah wants to become a lawyer. And she hopes to travel and experience new things in the coming years.

Stephanie is a junior, and a staff writer for ANDOVERVIEW. When she’s not asleep, you can usually find her spending time with family or friends, enjoying a good book, making- (and possibly burning..) pancakes, or listening to music. She loves to try new things, and usually finishes them with a smile— and a three hour nap. Her future plans are to graduate high school; and afterwards? She’ll cross that bridge when she gets there.
Garrett Berube

Garrett is a sophomore at Andover High School, and staff writer for ANDOVERVIEW. His favorite color is olive green and his favorite food is potato leek soup. In his free time Garrett enjoys searching for yellow-bellied sapsuckers (a type of bird), reading historical texts, and making tea. His favorite subjects in school are history and biology. He also likes studying French and Japanese. In the future Garrett hopes to become a history teacher.
Scott Aubrey
Faculty Advisor
Once a reporter and editor himself, Scott Aubrey is well into his second decade of teaching and advising student publications. He got his start in journalism in Kansas, where he interviewed—among others—the former commander of U.S. forces in Vietnam, a convicted bomber (while sitting in the man’s tepee!), and lots of farmers. Oh so many farmers.
